Team GB 2006 was the largest team we have fielded in international competitions - 7 female fighters, 6 male fighters, 3 coaches and 4 officials (including 2 from France). The team travelled by Eurostar to Paris, then caught the RER to Villebon. After weighing-in, we were transported to our hotel, about 10 minutes from the venue, then went out in search of a place to eat.

Friday morning, the competition started. Preliminary bouts began at around 10am and, with six rings in constant use, continued until evening. Preliminarys continued on saturday morning, and early afternoon, with the finals taking place saturday evening. Antony Crossman and Lizzie Hawkins took silver medals. Rachel Shore, Signe Gundersen and James Antill each took a trip to the podium to collect bronze medals. Full results can be found on the International Savate Federation website
