The 'Coupe du Monde Universitaire de Savate – Assaut Boxe
Française' took place in Lille in July 2005. It was the
first World Championships specifically for university students.
The event took place over a long weekend, and was a lot of fun.

This was the first international competition for most of our team. Jane Kloda of Cambridge University and Rachel Shore of University College London both gained creditable third places. Holly Scott-Mason and Soren Demin, both of Cambridge University fought well, but just slipped out of medal positions at 4th.
