The team met up at Waterloo, and travelling by Eurostar, arrived in Paris around 5.30pm. A short metro ride took us to Clichy where we booked into a youth hostel before looking for a place to eat. Friday morning, the team members all weighed-in successfully, and then headed across Paris to visit Sport 7 and Notre Dame. After lunch, we returned to Clichy... and a rest before the competition started.

Preliminary bouts began at around 6pm and continued until late evening, with five fighting area's in constant use the action was non-stop. Preliminarys continued on saturday morning, and early afternoon, with the finals taking place saturday evening. Rachel Shore fought well to gain a third place trophy, with Julie Gabriel, Laura Gilbert and Antony Crossman each taking a trip to the podium to collect fourth place certificates.
